Doyle's Public House

There are 73 days until opening kick & there are only 24 seats remaining on the Doyle's / South Sound Supporter Luxury Motor Coach(I was told that this verbage makes the event all that more special). Make your reservation - doylesfc@gmail.com - today or you will be stuck on the 590 bus which I believe does not provide beer, does not have a bathroom and does not give you a supporter scarf.

We have 54 seats on the bus for opening game, March 19th. (Kurt + 1 / Cath & Bluey / Sam Dollar + 1) are on the list) I know others have expressed interest, but I failed to write them down or misplaced the email. Please send a message to doylesfc@gmail.com with how many seats you would like to reserve. The cost is $35 and includes beer, a South Sound Supporters scarf, a bus ride and a tip for the driver. There are bathroom facilities on board.

The kick-off is at 6pm, nationally televised, so the bus will depart at 4pm. We expect there will be quite a crowd and want to leave plenty of time to make the opening whistle. The bus will return 30 minutes after the final whistle.

Rain, sleet or snow Doyle's keeps the lamp on for those hearty souls on the search for warm food and strong ale. In keeping with our 365 mantra we will be open regular hours(11am-2am) on Christmas Day. This Friday is Boxing Day and we will be opening at 7am for a full day of Soccer. We now have Delerium Noel, St. Feuillien Cuvee Noel, Affligem Christmas Ale and Young's Winter Warmer on tap to warm the body and soothe the spirit.

This weeekend avoid the mall crowds and support your locally owned & operated businesses. If you are stuck for a gift idea come on down and loosen up the thought process with a beer or two and if that does not work get them a Doyle's Gift Card.

We will be open from 7am to 2am this weekend for those early birds who want to get a jump on the day.

This Wednesday is St. Practice day which means no Knowledge Night, but there will be LIVE music from Ockham's Razor. Follow that up with LIVE muisc on Saturday from A Room Called Remember and your start to feel good about the holidays.

The inaugural Seattle Sounders FC game will be featured as Major League Soccer's opening date for the 2009 season, it was announced today. Sounders FC will host the New York Red Bulls on Thursday night, March 19. 
Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. Pacific Time at Qwest Field. Sounders FC will be making its debut as the 15th team in MLS. New York is the 2008 MLS Cup runner-up.

The complete MLS schedule will be released in early February. Each team will play a 30-game regular season. Each team will play every other MLS team home and away, for a base of 28 games. Two additional games against intra-conference rivals will complete each team's league schedule. The regular season ends on Oct. 25.
